Adobe Premier is amazing. We all love it. Well, those of us who have used it!
The problem with premier though is that it’s complicated and difficult to use if all you want to do is get rid of background noise. Let’s say you have a great recording that just has some noise in the background. Maybe a dog barked, or you took the video outside. Whatever the problem, you don’t want to have to import the whole thing into Premier, remove the noise, then re-export. It takes time, and you lose video quality every time you export your file. There’s a better way.
Enter Noise Destroyer. It’s an amazing app that allows you to simply upload your file and it nondestructively gets rid of background noise from your file. In other words, you don’t have to re-export your video. Only the audio ever gets touched. Your video is an exact 1:1 copy of the original so you have 100% of your video quality intact. Obviously the audio get touched, but it’s worth it because it isolates the sound of your voice.
A couple caveats:
- At the time of writing, Noise Destroyer is optimized for removing everything but spoken word. Music and other stuff gets removed
- At a dinner table, Noise Destroyer doesn’t do a good job of removing background voices because they are human.
Other than that, Noise Destroyer does an amazing job getting rid of background noise.
